F. Albert Salinas
Albert is a poet and performer. He received an A.A. In Liberal Studies at Santa Barbara City College, a B.A in English at California State University, Channel Islands, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing with an emphasis in Entertainment from Full Sail University. He focuses on enhancing the presence and appreciation of poetry and the literary arts, raise awareness of the power of literature, poetry, and the spoken word, and support forums for collaboration of art forms in Ventura County. He is a poet-teacher for California Poets in the Schools and Poetry Out Loud. He initiated the call for the first Poet Laureate of Ventura County and resides on the boards of the Ventura County Arts Council, Bell Arts Factory, and the Artists Union.
