Previously featured in literary magazines such as Chaffey Review and Fat City Review, Stephanie is a page poet as well as spoken word poet using the power of her words to both entertain her audience and bring forth powerful messages of family issues, social issues, along with the occasional love and break-up poem. She recently received the Power Poetry scholarship for her poem Angels Made of Charcoal Outlines. Currently a student at Cal State University, Northridge, when she is not tutoring freshmen or correcting papers, she can be found conducting poetry workshops with her peers or going to local open mics around town. Her motto for writing is: “First and only rule of the pen: write for yourself then let the world come along for journey.”
