Micah Hales was born in Devon, England and raised in the Hudson Valley. She graduated magna cum laude from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and American Literature. She lived in Los Angeles for five years where her play, The Whippoorwill, was produced at the Electric Lodge Performing Arts Center in Venice, CA. Micah currently resides in New York City with her husband. She teaches English Language Arts in Brownsville, Brooklyn through Teach for America’s 2011 corps and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Education. Her first novel is near completion.
